This unique facial is specifically designed for clients who are seeking to achieve a tighened, lifted look. This facial is a combination of Radio Frequency Skin Tightening Procedure and Electrical Microcurrent Lifting Procedure.
What Exactly is Radio Frequency
Radio frequency (RF) is a type of energy that is measured in wavelengths per second. It includes a lot of common energy types that are used daily, such as Wi-Fi signals, radio and TV waves, and microwaves.
The RF energy that is used in skin tightening is around 450 kilohertz. The wavelength used in RF skin tightening treatments is about 100 million times slower than visible light and over 1 billion times slower than an x-ray. In other words, RF energy is quite calm when considering the entire electromagnetic spectrum.
How does it work
We use laser and radio frequency technology for our skin tightening treatments. With radio frequency (RF) skin tightening, the skin is heated to over 40 degrees. This heating stimulates new collagen and growth, plumping the skin for instant results.
RF’s Effects on The Skin
Tissue retraction: The heat immediately tightens the skin.
New collagen formation: New collagen production is stimulated by heating the dermis.
Improved circulation: Skin tightening improves blood and lymphatic flow.
How Does Radio Frequency Tighten Skin
Since RF is a form of energy, it produces heat, which then heats the skin’s deeper layers and induces new collagen and elastin production. The heat produced from this energy also encourages cell turnover to help skin become firmer, thicker, and youthful-looking.
An advantage of using RF as opposed to laser treatments is that RF is lower frequency and can safely penetrate skin’s deeper levels, helping to improve skin tone and structure, even lifting tissues. In other words, RF can safely treat more patients who have different skin tones without risking permanent discoloration.
What is Microcurrent Facial
A microcurrent facial stimulates your facial muscles for a natural lift
Microcurrent machines in facial aesthetic applications are used to ‘work out’ the muscles of the face, stimulate collagen, and tighten skin appearance. Microcurrent uses low-voltage electricity to stimulate muscle, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) cell growth, and collagen development in the dermis on the face.
Microcurrent facials tighten and smooth the muscles and connective tissues in the face by increasing cellular activity, and have been shown to reduce wrinkles, mostly around the forehead area.
Microcurrent has been around for decades, especially in physical therapy, so it is very safe, effective, and targeted. Physical therapists have used microcurrent therapy treatments since the 1970s for pain relief and even facial paralysis conditions, like Bell’s palsy.
How does it feel
A microcurrent facial is a pain-free experience. There is a gentle, zingy feeling . Most patients love the feeling since it makes them confident that something is happening and a connection has been made
Some people should avoid a microcurrent facial
What should patients expect post-treatment
Patients will experience redness and heat in the treated area. This disappears within only 30-minutes post-treatment.
How many treatments are recommended
A course of treatments is recommended once or twice a week for optimal results.
While microcurrent facials are minimally invasive, there are some people who shouldn’t have a microcurrent facial. Patients with pacemakers, metal implants, or who have open sores, such as severe acne should avoid the microcurrent facial.
